When starting a yoga practice, people are often sometimes worried about
what they cannot do or what they do not know.
Private sessions allow me to really get to know you, whilst in group sessions
I observe, adjust and encourage you to find peace and stillness for yourself.
Different yoga practices suit different people, or even how people feel at that particular time.
It's a case of trying it out (as with ayurvedic lifestyle practices) to see what works and what doesn't.

I teach yoga to mums & babies and adults in group classes. I have primary and secondary schools on my books also, teaching in after school clubs and Enrichment Days as part of mental health and wellbeing initiatives; this definitely is a growing field, not least because of the current climate we are in. I work with athletes and sportspeople and the over 60's. I am a teacher at the FeelHotYoga Studios in Hertfordshire and HotYoga, Essex. I have private clients working on a 1:1 basis and couples or families. I organise party packages for groups of people also. I have experience of working in a hotel health spa, studios, people's homes, my own home, in corporate environments and online.
Some people have come to my teaching over inflexibility or those who were recommended by a doctor. I have taught professional footballers and a figure skater and runners, physiotherapists, surgeons and yoga teachers, lawyers, children and elderly populations, office based workers and business owners all of whom stress levels and yoga goals were different. I have people in class with varying restricted, normal and hyper-mobile ranges of motion. Previous individual, couple and families in private sessions have included clients with IBS/low mood; arthritis/gout; weight concerns; addiction issues; slipped disc and back pain problems and post-polio syndrome.

Calms the mind, improves memory, relaxes the mind, it strengthens concentration enabling us to be more focussed. It improves resilience by increasing our ability to better process emotions thus lessening fears, depression and anxiety and overall stress.
It allows us to broaden our horizons and cultivate connection, allowing us to experience increased empathy, optimism, happiness, faith, compassion and kindness. It deepens our self-knowledge and heightens divine insight.
On a physical and physiological level, meditation improves breathing, deepens sleep, strengthens the brain, increases serotonin - the happiness hormone, strengthens the immune system and relaxes and rejuvinates the body, thus increasing vitality and zest for life.
